Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Melissa was drawn to acting from an early age. Her dream was to replace Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz. (ah, the lofty aspirations of a 4-year-old...) Dancing and performing into adulthood gave way to an acting bug that wouldn’t let go. After earning her BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration from LSU, she moved to Dallas, TX where she began a career in regional musical theater and local indie films. Her journey continues here in Los Angeles as an actor, writer
and producer.
